Whirlwind Romance

by Sasha Manuel on June 28th, 2008

When I encounter stories on whirlwind romances, I can’t help but wonder how these things happen. How fast one can fall in love. How quick to come to a decision to marry. Settling for that explanation, “you’ll just know” when asked on how they knew if he or she was indeed The One. These sort of things or events are still a mystery to me.

Nana shares her own whirlwind romance in an attempt to help other people understand this “phenomenon” (hehe). I’d suggest that you read it and come back so we can talk about how such things take place. I’d like to know your thoughts on the matter.

Do you believe that, even when you are in a relationship, you will be open to falling for someone else? What do you think of dropping your partner to be with someone whom you think is The One? What will cause people to think that the other is the right one to marry? Or that marriage is the next step? Can we really set a time frame for love and romance? How soon is too soon? How late is too late?

I know. I’ve got lots of questions, right? LOL. Ah, well. I just thought it’d be interesting to start this discussion. I’ll be waiting on your responses!

Sasha- I met my husband 29 years ago. I was 19 and he was 20 and we were both in the military. I saw him and I knew. Our first date was Nov 10th, we were engaged the week after thanksgiving and married march 29th.
I have never been interested in anyone else since I saw him..we have 8 children, still hold hands, still make out on the couch, which totally grosses the kids out, and still spend every moment possible together. It can happen. :)
