Understanding Men Who Sleep Around
I’ve heard stories of men sleeping around and have actually met a few of them (not because I slept with them, ok?! Heh.). And I’ve observed that not all carry the same set of “alibis” on why they lead that sort of lifestyle. Some of these men are quite normal in appearance and others fit the bill. Some you’d despise and others you’d still think aren’t sexual predators.
How do we understand these men who sleep around? Single guys or married men alike. Why does seem like our society accepts it as a norm? Finding out that they practice promiscuity, they aren’t automatically awarded with the scarlet letter. Why is that?
The reason why I write these thoughts down now is because of a guy who I’d recently met. He is one of them who sees that sleeping around is alright. In fact, he sees it as his social responsibility, carrying a simple argument that states, “if I won’t do it for her, who would?” He simply thinks he’s satisfying the current demand of a particular market, which consists of the female demographic. He has regular takers and is still open for other clients. But, no. He’s not into the male escort thing, just to be clear. He’s your typical guy, who just happens to have that appeal with some of the women he meets. He has no pretensions. He will sleep with you if you want to sleep with him — as simple as that. But when you get to talk to him, you won’t hate him when you find out what he does. I find it a bit weird — the part wherein you won’t dislike the guy and what he represents.
I’m not in any way passing any judgments right now. I’m simply presenting a case study. Perhaps you can tell us what you think of this whole thing. Perhaps you can offer some answers to the questions I’ve raised. Or maybe you can tell us what you think of this guy I mentioned in the case study.
