The Oval Office Suite
I was in a cab on my way home earlier when the cab drove past a huge billboard —
Themed rooms are so tacky but somehow there’s still a market for it.
One thing you have to understand in my country, motels are viewed differently by the society. It’s frowned upon when news about you being in one gets around. Motels have a different reputation — a place for quick and illicit trysts (sad to say).
However, it’s still widely practiced (especially during Valentine’s) that couples — official or not — schedule some quality time in a motel room. The question on whether they opt to get an “oval office” over an “austin power” theme is entirely up for discussion.
Makes me wonder why. Is it just to fulfill some sort of fantasy? Is it just for pure fun? Or is it because you just have to get a room?
Thoughts, anyone?
