Possessive Boyfriends

Dating Desires has an interesting discussion going on on the topic of possessive boyfriends.

I can’t count the number of women I know who think making their boyfriend jealous is cute - but what they fail to realize is jealousy is glossy, sugar coated way of saying they don’t trust you - and what’s cute about that?

Jealousy - possessiveness and controlling behavior is dangerous, no matter if you are a man or a woman. If your partner is showing signs of jealousy or possessiveness, it’s time to break it off.

I’d be interested in hearing some of your tales on on this topic. Did you have a jealous, controlling lover? How did you handle it? Did you break up? Did they leave?

I am curious! I’ve been there before and as scary as it was, I did leave - but not without the guy running me off the road and totaling a nearly new car.

I didn’t press charges. I didn’t call the cops. I simply told the guy that if he ever came around me again, I’d turn him in.

It’s a scary place to be, but I’d much rather be on this side of the relationship, sharing the experience with you - then to be in the relationship still and scared to death - or even worse - dead.
