Gifts and that Funny Feeling
I don’t know about you but I love receiving gifts. Don’t get me wrong. I’m not saying I’m materialistic, it’s just the act of getting something — esp if it came from your partner — makes me giggle and grin like crazy. It’s utterly sweet and yea, romantic. Some will say it’s tacky but I don’t really care right now.
I have a funny story behind it all. A couple of weeks ago, I went out clubbing with teh boyfriend. When it was time to go home, he surprised me with three red roses. Ack! That was the very first time he ever gave me flowers! LOL. And I felt special. Timing was a bit weird cuz who would’ve thought of mixing clubbing and roses, yeah? But the whole thing made it “unique” in its own way.
Over the weekend, Mr. Nwofy came into my life. My pink ellie. Oh, sooo cute! Teh boyfriend once again surprised me with this small but utterly sweet gift. It’s definitely something I’ll treasure for a long time.
This brings me to my reason for loving “receiving gifts”. It’s accompanied by that funny feeling that you can only wish you can bottle up so you can keep it forever. The sweetness of the act and its memory will always bring a smile to your lips and twinkle in your eye. It rekindles the romance and youthfulness in a relationship.
