Farmers To Meet Girls In New Reality Dating Show
Lonely farmers in central California will have a chance meet girls from Los Angeles, thanks to a new reality dating show.
A show called “The Farmer Wants a Wife,” from the producers of “American Idol” and “America’s Got Talent” is scheduled to air this winter.
The show plans to have women spend a few days on the farm with six ranchers. The ranchers will then pick the girls they like the best.
But some residents in the state’s rural areas don’t think producers will find what they’re looking for because the farming industry has become bigger and more mechanized over the years.
One Kern County farmer says “the days of the mom-and-pops, ‘get up and milk the cows, slough the hogs’-type of farm is hard to find here.”
I tend to agree with the rural Cali folks - if the show wanted to present genuine sterotypical farmer’s to meet LA gals, they’d head more toward the midwest.
It should be an interesting twist to the existing reality dating shows that are growing very tired and BA-OR-ING!!
