Dater’s Rights
While browsing around over morning coffee, I stumbled across an interesting headline - A Dater’s Bill of Rights.
I didn’t proceed to open the actual article because I had somewhat an epiphany that I’d like to share here on Dating Dames - a big of a challenge, if you will.
Let’s put together our own Dater’s Rights of sorts.
We’ve all had good dates, bad dates and dates that are just, well, indescribable. Let’s take from that and create a list of Dater’s Rights as they should be upheld by both parties, regardless of which side of the date your on.
I’m thinking from an online dating angle if that helps.
I’ll start with a couple…
1. Either party has the right to leave within the first few minutes of the date. I’ve been on a few that I should have walked in under three, but because I didn’t have my Dater’s Rights - I stuck it out for a very painful hour or so.
2. You have the right to absolute honesty. If a photo is 10 years old - you have the right to know. Even if it means hearing from people who actually know this person in person.
Your turn!
