Classic Lines Women Use When Turning You Down

I was doing my regular blog-hopping when I came across an old post in a friend’s blog, The Blurb, which talked about some of the typical things that girls say when turning down a suitor. [Note: Filipinos are known to court and not just date.]

It’s an entertaining read since I’m quite familiar with some of the lines because I’ve heard it used by friends and from stories that my guy friends have told me. It brought back memories of the days when courtship occupied a big part of our young lives.

Here’s a sample of what he has in his list:

Classic Line #7
“A good friend of mine is in love with you and I can’t jeopardize our friendship.”

Out of all the lines in this list this is the one I hate the most.

Years ago, in high school, I courted this girl that I really, REALLY, liked. I actually thought it was going somewhere. She liked me a lot, her parents liked me a lot, but sadly her friend liked me a lot too. — [The Blurb]

Funny, eh? Heeheehee.

If I am to add a line, it’ll probably be a twisted rip-off of Tom Cruise’s line in Jerry Maguire — “You just don’t complete me.” Ouch. A little harsh but honest, right? Hahaha. [Please. Don’t take me seriously! I’m just kidding!]
