A Little Chocolate Won’t Hurt
“All you need is love. But a little chocolate now and then doesn’t hurt.”
— Charles M. Schulz
In relationships, gift-giving is something of a common occurrence, er, for some. I don’t want to go into the reasons why some people don’t give gifts but I know some do and women need it — sort of.
It’s what I’d like to call “romance”.
It’s like I’m being materialistic, ok? It’s just that there are some situations where in a gift is appropriate. It doesn’t have to be a 6 carat pink diamond ring (Egad. What’s that?! J.Lo’s engagement ring?) or a car or a laptop. It doesn’t have to be expensive! This is what was meant when people say, “it’s the thought that counts” or something to that effect.
Chocolate is quite a common choice. It’s sweet and rich in flavour, somehow, signifies what your feelings are (of course, that’s a personal theory). Flowers and all its meaning comes second. Stuff toys are included in the list, too. But it doesn’t end there. You can also come up with homemade gifts or unique and creative IOU’s to spice up the relationship or just to show your partner that you care.
Relationships should be fun and filled with new and different ways on how love or affection is expressed. Let your partner experience new things. Sure, I believe that your love is adequate to make the relationship work and flourish but, yes, a little chocolate won’t hurt.

I have to agree with your post. However, not too much yummy chocolate for the diabetics!

Mmmm. Chocolate could possibly be one off the best gifts possible. I think the only thing better is a proper back rub.

I don’t know what it is about Chocolate but it sure is one of the best gifts (yes, Michele, moderation is key to health! :) ). And, yea, Sara, I wouldn’t mind a back rub every now and then, too! :D
